Rollinsford NH Photography Mill Studio

Autumn Bliss Photography is growing!

Now offering Studio Sessions and Consultations at The Upper Mill at Salmon Falls

I now have a photography studio in downtown Rollinsford at The Mills at Salmon Falls in New Hampshire.  The opportunity found me and I nabbed it.  There are so many great things about the mills, including the artist community there.  After I moved in, I wandered a bit through the mill and I met a few of my new neighbors.  Welcomed with open arms and informed of some of the upcoming artist events, I have been reassured more than ever with this leap.  I took the liberty of snapping a few images of the local surroundings and I provided a few highlights below for your viewing pleasure.  As a Maine wedding photographer, you might ask “why New Hampshire?”.  Simply put, it’s within range of the Seacoast, my home and first love.  Southern Maine and Seacoast New Hampshire are rich in New England culture.  I cover weddings and portraits primarily from Portland, Maine to Portsmouth, New Hampshire, to Boston, Massachusetts.  Rollinsford, despite being a ways inland, has a great community and I’m so fortunate to now be a part of it.

Another few factors that encouraged this venture here was the fact that the mill is, well… a revived mill!  Maine and New Hampshire are scattered with historic Mills that once were the lifeblood of this region.  Mills like those in Biddeford, Sanford, Dover, etc. have all experienced this great change over the last few decades.  Many – abandoned for so long – have now been restored and are used for apartments and commercial purposes.  What I love about the Rollinsford Mills is that a lot of the original framework has been left untouched.  Another huge factor is that it is home to a hydroelectric plant with two turbines.  Hydroelectric plants make up approximately 7% of all renewable energy here in the U.S., fyi.  And Oh!  It gets better…they recently installed solar panels atop the upper mill as well.  Now if you know me well, you KNOW I am a huge environmentalist, so this all just makes my heart sing.

Stay posted on the blog and social media outlets for upcoming events and promotions, as I will be notifying you when the studio is up and running.  In the meantime, enjoy a few images below!  These depict the essence of this historic building, built in the early 1800s, as well as the artist community that is thriving.

Cheers!

Images above are loose canvases of New England craft beer makers beautifully created by MICHAEL PENNEY.  He actually has an exhibit coming up for these in Newmarket, NH – Friday April 8th, 2016 from 6-9, I’m hoping to catch this myself!
