York Maine Wedding | Rebekah and Scott
Love builds up the broken wall and straightens the crooked path.
Love keeps the stars in the firmament and imposes rhythm on the ocean tides.
Each of us is created of it and I suspect each of us was created for it
-Maya Angelou
I had the privilege of photographing Rebekah and Scott with their friends and families, as they joined hands in matrimony this May. Intimate, emotional… methodically planned out to perfection; the day was saltwater taffy-wrapped and knotted with a nautical theme. So many details and thoughts go into the planning of one’s big day, and these guys nailed it. The weather cooperated for us as we celebrated alongside the salty Atlantic ocean in York, Maine; we enjoyed a slew of goodies and entertainment – from trolley rides, to compass favors, to a food truck {JUICE BURGER} that prides itself on local meats and produce. Tears were spilled, the dance floor was hotter than ever, and we enjoyed a night cap under the stars as we strolled along beach. Congratulations to you, Rebekah and Scott, and to your families as well! It was an honor to document your big day.
There are just some moments that take your breath away…
Rebekah gifted a special token to Scott after the ceremony – an engraved compass, which is to symbolize where they’ve been and what direction they are going, and a reminder of this very special day…
I simply cannot get over the details of this wedding… a true nautical wedding tale! Rebekah was stumped on how she’d incorporate cobalt blue napkins into the theme; cleverly her father thought up (and prepped!) all the white square knots for every single napkin!
I’m obsessed with these wedding favors! Classy and such a great touch to the nautical theme.
The lovely couple reserved a bit of late night snacking with the JUICE BURGER for their guests. Juice burger is a food truck with a conscience… their mission is to provide high quality fast food provided by local honest suppliers. You’ll see the truck primarily in the Dover, New Hampshire area.
We ended the night with a stroll along the shore of Short Sands. Truly a beautiful day for such a great couple.
