Love macro.  Love love LOVE!  This photo happened to be in the gravel pit I spent most of my days as a child finding adventures in.  And here I am, still doing it as an adult.  This photo was taken Spring of 2009 when my sister was home visiting from Alaska.  We had a get-together going on at Ma’s house, and we decided to venture into the pit for a friendly weekend stroll.  This tiny turtle was crossing our path, so we scooped him up for a closer look.  We also found tadpoles in various stages of their morphing in the nearby ponds.  Nature has so much to offer!
