30 Day Blog Challenge, Day 18: Solitude

Rats.  Again with the ignorance to back images up.  So young and naive.  If only I had a time machine to transport backwards, I’d educate myself on a thing or two.  This was taken on my way back from Farmington from my sister’s field hockey game.  Headed down the back roads, this is what I drive past.  Brakes.  Reverse.  Park.  Blinker.  Snap.  How glorious are the colors in this image?  And the lonely tree?  Anyone with a great lens can capture great photos, but it takes luck to be at the right place at the right time to get the money shot, and a skillful eye to actually see the shot {yes, i may be tooting my own horn, but this blog challenge is a reminder of why i chose to go pro}.  Had I had a DSLR with me, I could have run with this.  But I didn’t.  And I didn’t back up the file.  So all I have left now is this low res image.  That’s just life, right?  I’ve driven by the tree since then around sunset hour and have yet to see that rich and eerie sky again…right place, right time, I tell ya…

Taken with my Canon SD6OO, I believe fall of 2007.  No pp.

Solitude

i wish someone had been there with me to enjoy that beautiful moment.
