I began this blog challenge with a photo of the sun rising at Cadillac Mountain, in Acadia National Park.  This photo was taken the same morning, but was taken during our journey trekking back down the mountain.  My camera battery was on low from the adventurous weekend, and the frigid climate atop the summit was downright killing my battery.  Actually, the battery was so bad that I could not see the frame in the LCD screen, and the camera kept dying.  This photo was by chance.  I literally pointed and shot blindly, no screen to confirm good framing.  And it’s one of my favorites.  This is back to the dumb luck thing, and simply being at the right place at the right time, and knowing when to snap that shutter release.  This was taken by my SD6OO Canon Point N Shoot.  No post-production, I felt the picture was fine just the way it was.
