30 Day Blog Challenge, Day 17: The Ring
He proposed to me at my favorite restaurant.
I can still smell the salty ocean breeze. I can taste the chianti as if I was reliving that night now. I can still see the blueberry high bushes from our window seat, and I can still hear my dear friend {he happened to be our waiter that night} congratulating us. I can still feel the ring sliding on my finger.
I married my best friend. Our characters are so different, we bring such a harmonious variety to our union. We also bring honesty. And admiration. I’m a sap. What can I say?
:The Ring:
I took this photo with my mother’s Canon DSLR at camp. I nestled my ring amidst some of her sea glass collection. My mother and sister bring beach combing to a whole new level. I’m talkin’ serious business, peeps. And I can’t compete. I’ll search all day and come back with a handful of white and green sea glass while they huddle together and analyze each other’s findings (purples, blues, pottery, textured, fun shaped)…ugh. My sister loves pastel glass while my mother enjoys the potteries and textured pieces, like me. One thing is for sure, everybody is looking for that damn vibrant blue sea glass.
Have I gone off on yet another tangent? Lordy, keep me on track…sooo yes. This was taken by my mother’s Canon digital Rebel back in the summer of 2009. I just love how tack sharp the diamond is, and of course the sea glass filling the frame {notice the fab blue piece? i didn’t find that piece either}. No post-production other than a bit of cropping.
