30 Day Blog Challenge, Day 12: Snowshoeing
I am so thankful to be living in New England, where I may enjoy the best of four seasons. Just when you may be getting a bit tired of one, the next season swiftly rolls in.
I love winter. I love winter sports. I am going to admit this, but I enjoy shoveling snow {it’s therapeutic and a fabulous workout}. One of my favorite things to do is hike, so why wouldn’t I enjoy snowshoeing in the depths of winter?
This shot was taken by my Canon SD6OO in a gravel pit in Southern Maine. This gravel pit actually was my back yard growing up. What a lucky kid I was, jumping off of sand cliffs, catching tadpoles in nearby ponds, and sledding down some of the greatest hills a kid could ever dream of. And I still get to enjoy ‘the pit’. This particular day, my sister-in-law and I had wandered out to snowshoe in the recent snowfall, before the snowmobiles had a chance to unleash.
