2013 in Review
Here we are, closing in on the end of 2013. Reviewing my business for the year, I do believe the results have been healthy and productive… overall a great success. I couldn’t have done this without you – my clients and supporters. I want to thank all of you for investing in me, entrusting me to produce profound and inspiring photographs for you. I wouldn’t be walking in these shoes, had I not gained the trust and support from you all. I want to thank my family as well, for their patience with my time away, and my hours spent editing and researching. I especially could not do this without the love and support from them.
In 2013, I learned a great deal (a great deal) of knowledge about owning a small business, about the industry, and about myself. I’ve met some fascinating individuals, and I’ve been doing some networking. If you know me, you know I am a social bug. Networking is big for me. Big. Gigantic.
In 2013, I embraced my success stories; I dissected my mistakes. I invested over a thousand hours this year, into this proprietorship. I built up my portfolio and was able to upgrade some equipment. I did not step in any dog poo in 2013, which I can’t say for the prior year (happened more than once…).
I am taking my experiences from 2013 and refining them for the upcoming 2014 season. I have fine-tuned my workflows’ time and quality, and I intend to exercise this with all my future events. I have tested several products and am pleased to know that the up-most quality will be served to my clients. I am finishing up my goals and budgets for 2014.
I have several weddings booked and cannot wait for these events to take place! Because of the amount of weddings I am doing, I do plan to limit the amount of portrait sessions I book. If you are considering hiring me for a portrait session this upcoming year, please contact me as soon as you are able.
Again, thank you to all of you who have supported me. I cannot wait to see what the 2014 season will bring.
