Wedding Registry Trick: A Future Investment for Him

sears registry sample

Why would I make a wedding registry for him?

Let me share a little secret with you.  When I was engaged, I took my husband to Sears.  Together we started a wedding registry there.  We picked out a couple of home décor items, but we really focused on the tools and equipment section.  I knew darn well that nobody was going to gift us a cordless drill or an air compressor, so why you ask, would I waste my time?  This:

HIS REGISTRY PROVIDED A CURATED WISH LIST FOR ME FOR LIKE, THE NEXT 3 YEARS.

I knew exactly what he wanted, down to the very brand, size and voltage.  Doing a wedding registry geared towards him TOOK THE GUESSING GAME OUT OF FUTURE GIFTS for occasions like birthdays and Christmas.  Another bonus: he’ll never have the excuse that he doesn’t have that tool to complete my ‘honey to-do’ projects ever. again.)

It’s often hard to find the right gift for your loved one, so all you engaged readers, if you want to be as sneaky as a parent nabbing their kids’ wishlist to Santa, try this method out.  Put that powerful gun in your partner’s hand and let them go to town!

Another note, it doesn’t have to be Sears.  I’m sure there are lots of companies that your partner loves who offer registries, including online.  Other suggestions include:

EMS or REI

BEST BUY

AMAZON

Home Depot or Lowes.  Apparently they discontinued registries years ago (boo).

Do you have any sneaky hacks that we could benefit from?  Leave a comment and share your knowledge!
